I've been on a tropical smoothie vibe lately, it must have to do with a yearning of summer. This past week has been nothing but rain, hail, and tornado warnings. A normal person would lean more towards the direction of a warm beverage, but not me! There’s something about a cool nutritious smoothie after a run that I dear so much. On days where I just can’t get it together a smoothie makes it all worthwhile...even suffering through a hail storm in the middle of spring.
This smoothie only has 6 ingredients and is made in a matter of minutes. Pineapple, mango, and strawberries blended together to give this smoothie a tropical twist. I used a particular combination of water and almond milk but you can use any measurement of the two or opt one out, it’s whatever you prefer. The Chia seeds add an extra dash of omega3 and dietary fibers; eaten raw really makes them come to life!
